So, the girlfriend is on vacation for two weeks, and we've set ourselves the challenge not to buy any food unless absolutely necessary (like fresh veggies etc to complete a meal because our freezer doesn't have *that* much veggies)
Is anyone interested in a "protocol" of some sort? Might hold us more accountable :3
So, two users want me to update you/them. I have made a full inventory of the food items and it's really not as much as I thought, even though I probably don't have to get groceries for at least half of the experiment :3 Plenty of meal bases, and even a little bit of low-spoon stuff!
re: food experiment, meal 0
Okay so meal 1 doesn't really count because we've bought the ingredients specifically to cook it, but that was before we decided to try this, so...
Gnocchi with zucchini and bell pepper in tomato sauce, it's super good.
food experiment, meal 1+2 (plus plans for the upcoming ones)
We had leftovers from yesterday and some apple crumble that was left over from our birthday party, it was great. Tomorrow, the challenge will really begin. Planning on going to the supermarket for
-new cheese slices
And maybe soda, because while we do have syrup, it is technically not a food item.
We'll use half the pesto and our penne plus mozzarella to create our favorite pasta salad. The other half of the pesto will stay in the fridge until the batch of salad is eaten and then it can go on the Tagliatelle we have left. So, probably pasta until Friday/Saturday. Nice.
We'll also make pancakes with the three overripe bananas and munch those as sweet treats when we want some.
Re: food mention
@the_panda_system :O jetzt hätt ich gern Vanillepaste, das klingt toll
re: food experiment
@cuffedCatling Es ist günstiger als Vanilleschoten, aber tut basically dasselbe :3
