I just found out there's folks cancelling their commissions of Filipino artists because they're upset about the election. Like, Murrican folks who are like, "oh no, The Philippines is fascist now, so all their people are bad. I should cancel."
What the fuck. If your artist says some racist shit or something, or has shit politics and means people harm, sure, drop them like a hot potato, but this is folks deciding folks are evil because... what, they think the election was fair? They think everybody there has the same politics? What kind of racist scum can't see that there's apparatus at work here that a simple artist, often an oppressed person themself, has no say in and can only try desperately to tread water to stop from drowning in it?!
